ADEX EPS INSULATION

This insulating layer has several functions
The great importance of the quality of the airtightness of a home led us to adopt ADEX’s Hydroflex film, a liquid membrane that is applied directly to the substrate. The insulation, installed on top of it, also provides a support for the base coat, the fibreglass mesh and the acrylic finish.
For every inch of thickness, expanded polystyrene panels offer an insulating value of R-4 recommended by Novoclimat. That’s why we recommend the installation of continuous air barrier materials like ADEX Hydroflex membranes.

Implementation
PROCESSING OF BASE CEMENT
ADEX adhesive base is a polymer-based paste that, when mixed with a type 10 portland cement according to a pre-established recipe, constitutes the base mixture. It is designed to adhere to expanded insulation, concrete panels, brick, block, and concrete. A fiberglass mesh is integrated into it to reinforce the surface.
FIBERGLASS MESH
Fiberglass mesh is flexible but strong, it is used to strengthen the system and prevent cracking. This product is treated to resist alkali. It is incorporated into the base mixture when it is applied.
FINISHING ARCHITECTURAL PLASTERS
ADEX Textured Acrylic Finish Coating is pre-mixed at the factory and available in several colors and textures. It is applied with a trowel by our professional cement manufacturers. This is the step that marks the completion of your project and reveals the beauty of the product.
